Hawaiian Inspiration

Inspiration is the perfect word for what happens to my art life in Hawaii.  I just breath it in all humid and green and it comes out later as new colors shaped into fish and woman and the scent of papaya and red dust, and always something else which has no label.  I take the process of printing to another level now.  Layers have new reasons to be there: to obscure, in an enticing way,  to amalgamate into what is indirect and mysterious.  Always Hawaii makes me see my own place more clearly, inspired and put back into place here and now. I can't work fast enough to do it all.

We were dancing there, tango workshop.  But it doesn't matter what we do there, it comes home with us and makes life deeper. Just being there is all that we have to do.
